Why Choose a Metal Carport for a Chicken Coop?
Our steel carports are built to last — and that makes them ideal not only for vehicles, but also for agricultural uses like chicken coops, goat shelters, rabbit hutches, and more.
Here’s why metal carports make excellent chicken coops:
Durability – Built from high-quality galvanized steel, our carports withstand rain, wind, and sun. That means your chickens stay safe and dry in all weather.
Ventilation – The open design of a carport allows for natural airflow, reducing odor and keeping your flock healthy.
Customizable Layout – Add walls, wire panels, nesting boxes, roosts, and storage to turn your carport into the perfect poultry paradise.
Low Maintenance – Unlike wood coops that can rot or attract pests, our metal structures are easy to clean and maintain.

A Customer’s Creative Coop Conversion
This Waycross customer took a standard metal carport from Two Way Buildings and turned it into a shady, secure, and efficient space for their chickens. They added wire sides, nesting areas, and fencing — proving that with a little creativity, our metal buildings can serve a wide variety of purposes beyond just parking.
This isn’t just a chicken coop — it’s a testament to what you can build with a strong foundation.
